Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

My husband and I just moved to California from Canada in September, and over Valentines day we are planning to drive up the coast of California and Oregon. We’ll be in a tiny town called Newport on the big day itself, hopefully having a delicious seafood dinner!

Jewel Me! I will be baking cupcakes for our daughters fifth grade class, taking them to school and helping bring gifts and card to the other students and teachers. I will have already made 30+ mustache chocolate lollipops too. I love sharing the love with the children. Oh, my husband and I had a fantastic dinner this last Saturday for my birthday/valentines because we came to see y’all last Tuesday in Charlotte, NC for my birthday. Thank you for signing my book! my husband surprised me last friday with our first date night/overnight without both our kids! it’s been over two years and it was fantastic! i had no clue.

I’m going out to dinner — two friends of mine own a restaurant and are offering a special Valentine’s dinner menu.
