Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

This year my husband and I are going to see Les Miserables. He promised back in December that if it was still in theatres he would see it on Valentine’s Day, thinking that he would be able to dodge the bullet! HA! It is still showing, so now he has to see it with me :)

Nothing special, ’cause we are way too busy at the moment plus we have a 2-year-old (and no babysitter in sight). But we are heading West to my brother for the weekend. He is celebrating his 40th birthday and the entire family will be there. Yes, it is not romantic or anything Valentines-day-related but a great escape from everyday life with great food and great company.

We’ll be spending valentine’s day at home. Low key this year, given our new addition, our five month old baby boy :)

However, since we love in London, we decided to spend next weekend in Paris for a belated v-day celebration, with the bebe of course.

We actually never do too much for V-Day, but I always expect fresh flowers and I buy him a six-pack of beer and maybe a few Snickers bars. Sometimes we go out to a casual dinner; nothing fancy for us.

My fiance Cejay and I will be heading down to Jervis Bay, NSW (we live in Sydney, Australia). It is a cute, sleepy beachy town. We are going for a three day getaway that coincidentally went through Valentine’s Day! He is a lot more romantic than I am so I’m sure he planned that in mind, but it took me a little while to remember that V-Day was on the 14th of this very month! We are only 21 and 20 and in university, so we don’t have kids yet. But we do have a gorgeous King Charles Cavalier puppy called Mojo who will be coming along on the holiday :)

    Happy Valentine’s Day!!

I am currently living abroad and Valentine’s day isn’t celebrated all that much here – although the local gym is having a v-day special, if you sign up for a membership on the 14th, they waive the initiation fee. So that is what I am doing – oh so romantic!

A cosy dinner at home I think, considering that drawing hearts around the date on our calendar prompted my husband to ask “What’s that for?” doesn’t make me hold out a lot of hope! However in his defence he is always surprising me with flowers on random days so I can’t complain :)
