We (hubby & 5 kids) will be eating heart shaped or pink/red everything. Heart shaped bacon, heart shaped cinnamon rolls, heart shaped pancakes with pink milk. I’ve made pretzels dipped in white chocolate decorated with pink & red sprinkles and heart shaped white blondies with pink & red M&Ms for school treats.

I think that there shouldn’t be one day of the year that you buy flowers for your wife and tell her that you love her. That being said, I think Valentines Day is sweet, but I would rather my husband spread Valentines Day out all throughout the year! We usually just get a little something sweet for each other (I bought him his favorite movie) and will just spend the night with each other and our sweet pup, Raleigh.

Normally on Valentine’s Day my husband and I make a point of NOT doing anything. We spend every other day of the year showing each other how much we care and love one another in little tiny way (got to love my weekend morning, extra 30 mins lie in with a cup of tea :) ) rather than over spending on one day of the year. But this year I do plan on surprising him with a dinner out overlooking the whole of the Auckland skyline. Once in a while doesn’t hurt. :)
