Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

    JEWEL ME!

My husband is a college basketball coach and it’s almost playoffs, so he’ll have practice. But at least on Thursdays he has early class and late practice so we’ll be able to go out for a pizza dinner (and beat the rush!) at a romantic 3:30. Better than nothing. :)

We are not huge into the Valentine’s Day crowds/big price tags, though I do think it’s a sweet day to celebrate. We don’t have kids yet, but my husband & I always make each other a small gift or two & a card. We will also be enjoying a yummy, kinda fancy homemade meal! And of course a chocolatey goodness something for dessert :)

We don’t have any special plans… we’re visiting the inlaws in CA this week and we’ll probably make this year’s Valentine’s Day pretty low key. Take some cute pics with our cute kiddos, make some fun heart-shaped sugar cookies, and maybe watch a sappy movie once the kids are in bed. :)

2013 has started out on a bad note with both of us, me and my husband unemployed. Today I put my wedding ring on craigslist so its getting pretty bad around this house…However, on thursday Im going to be grateful for the little I have and the wonderful love that surrounds me with my children. so this valentines day, Im going to send a text of love to my little men who love me no matter what..and Ill probably break out the pinot grigio…

It’s not going to be as romantic as we’d like: we’ll have to start with spending several hours at the US embassy trying to notarize something. Then, some (still unromantic) shopping at ACE and IKEA and finally, a nice dinner :)

My boyfriend is a restaurant manager which means he’ll have a super busy super long shift on Thursday. The craziness of the day doesn’t inspire much romance. Hint:Don’t go out to eat on V Day! The wait will be long, and your server will be stressed. A meal at home is much more romantic and personal : )

Like the past couple of years, hubby and I will spend a lovely romantic dinner, by candlelight and soft music… with our son! Hehe! It may not sound that romantic to some (kids + Valentine’s = ba-bum in the romance department), but we love sharing special moments with him. And of course, there’s plenty of time for “romance” once he’s gone to bed ;) ;) ;) Hehe!
