Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We had an early Valentine’s date. We helped a friend tap maple trees deep in the woods this past Sunday, while our son was with the in-laws. It’s a bit of a Vermonter’s Valentine’s Date. We have a tradition that we trade off planning Valentine’s Day. This year, it’s my turn to plan his dream date. I’m making a beer, bacon, cheese, and steak themed dinner and then we’ll go watch the new Die Hard movie. Our Valentine’s date always has to end with a walk on the beach.
