Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

My husband will, unfortunately, be out of town on Valentines day, but he’ll make up for it by sending chocolate covered strawberries (a delicious tradition!).

JEWEL ME! We usually stay in for a romantic home cooked meal. My husband makes dinner and I make dessert. We started dating when we were poor college students and this was all we could afford. And it just stuck.

    JEWEL ME!

My mother-in-law passed away last year in early February, so we didn’t get to celebrate Valentine’s Day. So this year, we are going out for dinner and dessert at our favorite restaurant, and then hopefully a romantic slow dance in our living room–which is tradition for us.

MY husband and I will celebrate Valentine’s Day in a pretty interesting way this year – by attending our weekly birthing class! Prepping for our baby might not seem very romantic, but the class is actually pretty fun. Plus, we aren’t normally big v-day celebrators, so we aren’t too bummed. We still get to spend time together! :)

My hub and I have to work late and have a 10 month old, so no BIG plan; however, we’ve decided to do a crock pot meal and spread out cozy blankets on the floor in the living room.

We’re doing a home-cooked meal together, mixing our own valentine’s day-themed cocktails (just took a mixology class!), and indulging on homemade pots-de-creme for dessert. Plus we’re exchanging cards. I might even throw in a surprise and decorate the apartment with a bunch of hearts! Tonight my friend and I are making valentines to send to friends and family. Feeling the love!

We haven’t planned anything for V day this year- with a newborn and a 5 year old we are very busy with just keeping the household running! I planned to make cupcakes for the 5yo’s class – but his new school nixed Valentines in the classroom – boo!

I will likely send my DH an e-mail nudge of cool Etsy sites for jewelry and then get him some recent music discovery for him to listen to and make into a new fave. And, we’ll probably have “date-night” on the couch watching a movie after the kids are in bed. Good times!
