Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

We celebrate Valentines Day now with a special dinner with our 4 kiddos. We eat heart shaped pizzas and drink root beer from wine glasses, all by candle light! And then we enjoy chocolate dipped strawberries and birthday cake to celebrate my husbands birthday on that day as well. :)

We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day one day early this year – since 2/13/13 is the day we’re closing on our first ever house! We are so excited and can’t wait to start using all that DIY knowledge I’ve built up from reading YHL for so long! (Not kissing up to win mama some jewels, just sayin’ it b/c it’s true!) :)

I hate Valentine’s Day, but it’s also my Mom’s birthday, so I’m taking her to lunch. Then I’m going back to bed for the day.

It will be 7 years this February since my husband and I started dating and we’re planning on a nice evening at home, cozy in front of the fire. Couldn’t think of a better way to spend our Valentine’s Day.

Hi! I will be sending my son to school with a custom-made valentine’s mailbox to collect his goodies and Ninjago valentines for his classmates (that’s what 6 year old boys are into now). My boyfriend and I are hoping to be able to do chinese dinner and a movie. Hoping, because last year we couldn’t even go out on Valentine’s, he was sick. So let’s see!

We don’t typically do anything specific for Valentine’s Day, but this year we have an unintentional date night… I bought my husband a theatre-ticket subscription for Christmas and picked Thursday night shows, and the first of them happens to be this Thursday. So we’re going out to dinner beforehand and making a date of it. :)

Valentine’s day is one of my faviorite holidays and I hate when people say it was made up by halmark, because growning up my mom owned a flower shop, so it was her busiest time!!!! I grew up with flowers around always!

I’m a single mom, but always do something special with my son for Vday… Our little routine has become to go and get tempenyaki (sp?!) and then see movie. He has autism and is obsessed with the “volcano restaurant”… It’s actually quite cute because, at the age of 6, he already knows this to be or tradition. I also stick love letters in a mini mail box for him all week that he carries around town proudly. :-)
