Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

    JEWEL ME!

I grew up in Syracuse, NY and LOVE Syracuse men’s basketball. Unfortunately, it’s hard to catch a game now that I live in New Jersey. But the Orangemen are playing in Newark this weekend so I’m dragging my boyfriend to the game to serve as my Valentine’s present!

    JEWEL ME!

My hubby and I have a tradition we started the first Valentine’s Day we celebrated together when we were dating. We set a low spending cap ($10-$20) and have to make something for the other person. One year I bought a couple heart-shaped cookie cutters and made heart cookies. He’s bought washable paint and decals and covered my apartment window and car with lovey-dovey decorations. I painted a cartooney rendition of us (which now hangs in our bedroom). You get the idea! So much more fun and personal than dinner out.

I’m in the Navy and have been out to sea away from my husband for weeks. I’m having some of his favorite treats delivered to the house unbeknowst to him…and the best surprise yet, there’s a possibility we may be pulling back in early–on Valentine’s Day! Being reunited with my husband would be the sweetest gift there could ever be.

Nothing too special for V day – we love each other intensely every day. I did get him a card with a squirrel on it though, is that special enough?

We aren’t doing anything big (as resturants are always packed) but we do always get takeout and I always try to bring a treat for my co-workers. I also did the Valentine’s for my mom’s students and co-workers.

After a long week of classes, tests and a hundred things on my to do list, some much needed R&R, a night in with the boy.

We are opting out of Valentine’s Day to celebrate our 7 year anniversary as a couple on the 17th. Can’t hold the hubs accountable for two days so close together. I did get him a cool sign from Etsy that says “Pancakes make people happy” because it is so very true for him and even made it into our wedding vows!
