Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

    Jewel Me!

My husband booked a nice dinner for us at a small lodge by a very romantic lake 30 minutes from us, he also booked the baby sitter thus I am very impressed. Nevertheless, I told him that unless he gets a hair cut before our date, I will be dinning solo (his hair cut is WAY overdue and I have been begging for him to make a trip anywhere to get it cut for about 1 1/2 months!). No worries, if I dine alone (I am totally doing it if he doesnt cut his hair) I will order his stake to go, I still have a heart.

My husband and I have had a tradition of going to the pub where we had our first date for Valentine’s Day every year, which has been great since, because it’s a pub, it’s never crowded and there’s not a huge Valentine’s Day mark-up on the food and drinks. But we haven’t talked about whether we’ll do it this year, as I am pregnant with twins and ALWAYS tired in the evenings. So we’ll see what happens!

Celebrated Valentines Day with the hubby this past Saturday. It was the last weekend for DC Restaurant, which we participate in every year; hey we love going to restaurants we normally cannot afford for a very affordable price!! Then we went to the movies; all the while little one was at grandparents house. It was a nice date day.

My husband will be buying me candy from my favorite candy shop and I will be making the traditional giant heart shaped chocolate chip cookie that I make ever year for Valentine’s. We don’t like to do too much for V-day but think its fun at least to acknowledge it.

I’m sorry if this is a silly question, but how do giveaway winners find out that they’ve won? Do you have to remember to check back, or do you receive an email? I always forget to check, even when I’m really excited about the prize! (Like this one!)

My husband and I don’t celebrate valentines day because we think it’s lame. We are, however, going to NYC on feb 15th for a 4 day weekend. We live in FL so the change in temps will be very exciting to us (year round hot weather DOES get old, trust me).
