Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

JEWEL ME! My husband leaves for a business trip to London this week so Vday will be a bit limited, but he decided to tack on a couple extra days at the end so I can fly over and meet him in Paris for a long weekend. I can’t think of anything more romantic! (minus the jet lag)

Valentine’s Day is more fun now that my kids are almost 4 and 6 yrs old so I want to make it special and for it to be a reminder to them of how much they are loved. I want them to wake up to heart shaped french toast with Nutella, strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast and have little love notes written for them and the hubby. I’ll send them to school with their valentines for their friends and help in my son’s Kindergarten class for the party and relive those sweet childhood memories all over again :O). I think it will be a great day! My husband and I have a babysitter lined up for Saturday so we’ll get some quality time then too.

Well, the big party is rather for me tonight! and for two reasons : it is Mardi-Gras (we’re french and still celebrate it by dressing up and eating beignets) and since Feb 13, the day before Valentine’s day is my name day (Sainte Béatrice) that’s when I get a treat/party. But, this year, Feb 13 happens to be Ash Wednesday. So no parting on that day.
Hence a Full Mardi-Gras-Béatrice-Valentine mix just a little early!
Just a surprise note for the hubby in his work bag on Thursday.

Good luck everyone and hurray for worldwide giveaways!

JEWEL ME! Vday itself will likely be spent making hubby his favorite brownies (with a salted caramel twist) while he is working hard all week, but hopefully this weekend we’ll celebrate during our babymoon at a B&B in the Shenandoah and dinner at Inn at Little Washington!

JEWEL ME! We don’t do much for Valentine’s Day – usually we cook ourselves something tasty for dinner at home, and just hang out. Our anniversary is in April, so we usually do something more special for that – the price inflation in February kinda ruins the fun.
